Countdown to leaving

The photo above was taken by Stephen on his iPhone 5 when we were visiting Toodyay a few weeks ago. It was at the end of winter and there were lots of wildflowers even this early in the year. Now when I drive up to my mother’s place in Mt Helena I can see that the wildflowers are starting to fade. We are still having quite cool weather most of the time, with the odd really warm day.

It is hard to settle to anything, including getting ready to leave. Yet, some of the tasks are getting done each day.

I am still trying to decide what camera equipment to take, apart from the Sony A7RII and main lenses. I will have a small roller case as well as my smallish backpack for laptop, iPad and camera gear.

Travel Plans

It’s getting very close to the leaving date of our next trip. This time we will be away for about 3.5 months, exchanging our house with one person for a flat in Croydon, UK, for 2.5 months, and then with a couple who have offered their son’s studio flat in the Czech Republic for four weeks. I worked nearly full time for about 2.5 months and I am very relieved to have finished for this year.

It is too early pack, but I am preparing a list, as well as getting on with some tasks around the house to prepare it for our guests. I am looking forward to having lots of interesting experiences and taking lots of travel photos.
