These are a couple of photos I took on an evening walk near Knebworth. We feel that we have come to know the local area through our walks. We really love the peace and gentle beauty of the countryside here. With daylight saving it doesn’t get dark here until quite late.
Most of the people living in the canal boats use wood fires for heating. They often keep the firewood on the roof. This particular boat has a generator. The generator is noisy, but it must make the boat much more liveable with electricity.
I’m not very good at keeping up with this photography site, partly because I need time to process the photos we take. We have been very busy sightseeing and visiting people, and I’ve been very tired when we do have some down time.
I also think I need a way of automatically resizing photos for this page when I am working in Lightroom.
Even my Flickr page is over a week behind with posting images, and that site does accept photos directly from Lightroom.
Anyway, here is a photo resized in OnOne software and then processed to HDR in Nik. Taken near Bosworth Field.
All photos were taken with the Sony A7R and 28-70mm FE lens. It really does make for a great walk around setup. I’m still experimenting with preparing the photos for uploading as they still don’t look as good as they would look on Flickr, for example. These once are resized to a larger photo (75%), so that I can get an idea of what may look better.
Well, haven’t posted photos for a little while, but I was experiment with Lightroom Mobile yesterday, and finally was able to get syncing working this morning. I had downloaded the Lightroom update for my Mac, but did not seem to able to access it yesterday. My first sync was the photos I took yesterday from our trip to Cambridge. We had clouds and sunshine which make for lovely photos from that very photogenic town.
My walking camera setup as usual was the A7R and 28-70mm lens. These photos were lightly processed from the JPEGs and then resized in Image Bucket Pro. On the Mac, not on my iPad.
