We’ve been told that Karratha was established about 50 years ago and has no history to speak of. It does have some very modern buildings including apartment blocks that are pretty much nicer than anything in Perth. The upper apartments would have beautiful views across to the hills and the ocean. As well as offering $10 per night camping at the Country/Golf Club, very nice indeed.
We are about a 1/2 hour drive to the Burrup where we will be able to see about 10,000 rock artworks without having to have a 4WD vehicle.
