South: Stokes Inlet to Ravensthorpe

Dear Ravensthorpe! Home of an IGA that was open today when we got here, a dump point, drinking water available at the information bay and free camping opposite toilets and a service station serving wonderful coffee. Stephen spent time in the museum and we chatted with the long term resident who was at the information desk. Plus bought local jam, honey and a fridge magnet of the Quaylup Bell.

We are staying here for one night, then going to stay at the caravan park near Bluff Knoll in the Stirling Ranges.

Street side seating. There are quite a few of these in town.

across the road…

There was one caravan here when we arrived and a little red campervan arrived at around sunset. So, three of us enjoying this camping area, and as it is on a slope, we’ve probably chosen the only three level spots.

I baked some chicken pieces in the oven and we had steamed vegetables with them. Stephen and I did the dishes together as there was rather a lot to do after the cooking. The leftovers will keep us going for a couple more nights. Stephen made us fresh fruit and yogurt for desert, plus we had a little chocolate with our peppermint tea.
