Dalby to Warick
We arrived quite late in the day at the caravan park in Warick. A few minutes after we were parked Graeme turned up. He proposed a couple of outings, a half day tomorrow and full day on Thursday in order to take us to some of the attractions in the local area. We are glad to have tomorrow morning to rest up a bit from our travels and maybe do some washing before doing some exploring.
The drive, especially from Toowoomba, has been quite lovely. Very busy in terms of traffic, so it took a lot of concentration, but the rolling farmlands and tall trees make this area very attractive indeed. I did all the driving today, Stephen knows I am a nervous passenger, so was happy to support me in my most comfortable position in the Winnie, as the driver.
We stopped for a break at Toowoomba, finding a rose garden park where we had morning coffee and cake. Then, of course, we started to think about lunch. Stephen has memories of Toowoomba and a view over the plains from his bus trip years ago. So, we researched on Google and found a place called Picnic Point, which was only 8 kms from where we were, that promised to have a wonderful view. After walking around for a while taking photos we had lunch at the cafe, doing our usual thing of sharing a meal which makes it a reasonably inexpensive way to have lunch at a nice restaurant.

Our location in the caravan park has views and is quite level, two factors that are very important to us. We could see rain clouds in the distance, and have had some rain and hail, quite heavy, but for a short time. We don’t know if there will be more rain.
